For over 25 years, Helene has led Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and other executive searches for Legal, Compliance, Governance and Government Affairs roles.
Helene has counseled a broad portfolio of multinationals through executive transitions, gaining a unique vantage point to understand how cohesive executive leadership teams can bring legal and regulatory heft to their organizations.
Helene has proved particularly valuable to organizations in crisis or transition and is regularly called upon for individual executive and team assessments as well as advising on organizational design and succession planning.
Helene has also become a market leader in diversity hiring, identifying innovative ways to expand the pipeline of diverse talent entering the Legal field.
Prior to joining Hedley May, Helene led the Legal search practices of two national executive search firms, having begun her career with two leading New York law firms. She was a Director of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants for more than 20 years, serving as Chair of the Ethics Committee for more than eight years. She is currently a member of the Dean’s Leadership Board at the Kelley School of Indiana University.
Helene holds a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and has completed Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations Advanced Program in Executive Search, the only certification program of its kind.
