Background

With close ties to family in Argentina, Helene is passionate about, and has also become a market leader in, diversity hiring, including devising innovative ways to expand the pipeline of diverse talent entering the legal field.  Since arriving at Hedley May, she has launched a bootcamp for next generation diverse general counsel talent with a prestigious international law firm.

Helene began her career with two leading New York law firms prior to beginning her legal search career.  Before joining Hedley May, she led the legal search practices of two national executive search firms. She was a Director of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants for more than 20 years, including serving as Chair of the Ethics Committee for more than eight years. She is currently a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council at the Kelley School of Indiana University.

Having funded law school by working as an antiques dealer, Helene is fueled by the thrill of the “hunt” and recognizes the many shared skills that have forged her success in executive search: a discerning eye; innate curiosity and an inquisitive mind; and the ambition, knowledge and persistence to find exactly what the client is looking for.

Helene holds a JD from the University of Michigan Law School and has completed Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations Advanced Program in Executive Search, the only certification program of its kind.
