Katya was attracted to Hedley May for its commitment to excellence. She strives for excellence for her clients and candidates, but also in all areas of her life.  An Olympic weightlifter in the 55/59 kg category, she innately understands the importance of hard work, dedication and self-discipline. This work ethic was developed as the daughter of a single working mother and professional orchestral musician, and in the competitive process of winning a music scholarship for her secondary education.

Before beginning a career in executive search, Katya worked for an international artist management agency, IMG Artists, where she managed the professional careers of six international classical musicians, including BBC Young Musician of the Year 2016, Sheku Kanneh-Mason. Katya graduated from Warwick University with a BA in History.

Our People

Hedley May is the power of its people. We work hard to create a culture in which everyone feels valued, are supported to thrive, and can live the values we believe in. We know the search for great people is driven by great people.

The Belonging Project

In January 2020, we launched the Belonging Project, conducting over 100 interviews globally with a diverse range of people. Our research reaffirmed our core belief: organizations that create a strong sense of Belonging are more successful – in business, employee satisfaction and longevity. Belonging is the proven cornerstone of success.

When we founded Hedley May, we made a commitment to make a positive impact on our broader communities. We focus on providing opportunity to the underserved through mentorship, internships, workshops and other career development initiatives. We are also dedicated advocates and supporters of numerous social mobility programs.
