About Laura

A member of the team since 2014, Laura was drawn to Hedley May’s people-centric and purpose-driven culture. She thrives in a culture that is intellectually robust, expects excellence, and rewards hard work (not sure what this adds but happy to keep it in).  She has developed a deep expertise in Finance leading multiple searches for the full suite of direct reports to the Chief Financial Officer, across the full-range of organisations.

Background

Laura leads Hedley May’s wellbeing strategy, promoting a culture in which our people can be themselves and perform at their best. This is essential to delivering exceptional client service, while enabling Hedley May to attract and retain high-quality and diverse talent. She is inspired by the senior women she works with, demonstrating the ability to maintain brilliant careers alongside a family life.

Laura’s altruistic side has been put to good use at Hedley May. She has a deep interest in social mobility and has led numerous Hedley May community initiatives. The Belonging Project

In January 2020, we launched the Belonging Project, conducting over 100 interviews globally with a diverse range of people. Our research reaffirmed our core belief: organizations that create a strong sense of Belonging are more successful – in business, employee satisfaction and longevity. Belonging is the proven cornerstone of success.

Community

When we founded Hedley May, we made a commitment to make a positive impact on our broader communities. We focus on providing opportunity to the underserved through mentorship, internships, workshops and other career development initiatives. We are also dedicated advocates and supporters of numerous social mobility programs.
